Do you eat of a lot of salad?

We all know salads are good for you. They are chock full of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals. However, if you find yourself feeling cold, shivering a lot, lacking energy or experiencing dry skin more so during the approach into winter, it may be time to shift to slightly warmed food as these could be signs of what your body could be asking for. Back in the day, raw greens were not easily available during winter, frost or snow and were often replaced with food that would store well like roots and tubers. This does not mean salads are off the table however. Greens are nourishing for the body so consider a warm green salad with sweet potatoes or pumpkin and beetroot. Delicious!
